When Thomas Everett tells his athletes that a training technique works, they listen. After all, he is a two-time Super Bowl Champion.

Everett, who has been inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame, Baylor Athletics Hall of Fame, and the Texas Football Hall of Fame, now runs Thomas Everett Athletics, a premier you and high school athletic development program.

Located in the Dallas, Texas area, the program specializes in overall athletic development for boys and girls ages 7 to 18 and centers on linear and lateral speed & agility, strength and power development, and energy systems training for all competitive
sports. Thomas’s focus is on teaching, educating, and training not only athletes, but parents and coaches as well, on how to work, train, develop, and in a lot of instances, retrain athletes on proper skills, techniques, and mental preparedness.

Thomas’s passion for the individual success is evident to many everyday. “My training is no nonsense, and I let the parents know just that. I shoot the kids straight, the parents straight, and they both respect that. And the results by the athletes on the field of play reflects it.”
In addition to his own personal athletic experience, Thomas also draws upon his education when it comes to working with young athletes. He earned a bachelor’s degree in education with a minor in health from Baylor University, and his certifications include CPT – Coopers Institute
of Dallas and a YFS level 1 certification by the International Youth Conditioning Association (IYCA).

“My training philosophy is similar to those in the industry who look at sports and athletic development from a perspective of movement and how to integrate them into athletic skill,” Thomas said. “My philosophy is not how an individual looks, but how effective and efficient can the individual or athlete move.

Thomas and Lee have a lot in common when it comes to teaching others the art and skills of sports performance. “I think the main reason I’m an insider is because I am on the same page with lee, and I totally am in agreement with pretty much all he has to teach,” Thomas stated. “His info is very valuable and if you watch me at work, you’d see a ton of Lee Taft terminology and executions being used. I love it because he doesn’t just talk about this and that; he actually gets in trenches, demonstrates, gets sweaty & tired, and executes the movements. And I do, too. To me, that’s important.”
