Check out this video I taped this morning. My good friends at the IYCA and I laugh some times at how often we are misunderstood when it comes to our philosophies on deceleration. We agree on each others methods. We just attack it from different directions. Take a listen to me rambling about this topic. I love your questions about this topic and hope they keep coming.
P.S. - If you have not registered yet for the IYCA 2010 Summit, then jump on it now. It is going to be fantastic and I can’t wait to meet you there. Check out the details…IYCA Summit

Lee,
I always enjoy your “rambling” and how you get into the subject and explain your reasoning behind what we’re looking for as coaches. If there’s something to teach in terms of moving forward or regressing, we need to guide the athlete on how functional movement should feel. As the athlete learns from our approach in terms of educating functional movement, we as coaches are also learning how the athlete “learns” and how they apply the coaching. Leading us to constant assessment. Thanks for the help Lee!!!
I couldn’t get the video to play. Something about the MIME. Apparently I don’t have this plug-in.
