If there is one excuse I don’t like to hear it is, “I don’t have access to a weightroom so I can’t strength train with my athletes.” You don’t need a weightroom! You have the best piece of strength training equipment available- the body. Lets add one piece of versatile equipment costing only $20 bucks and you are in business.

Let me share with you some simple exercises you can do to get a great strength training workout in no time without a weightroom.

Day 1
Front to side lunge combo- 2-3 sets of 3 reps in each direction (6 total)
Push ups- 2-3 sets of 6-8 reps 311 tempo
Tubing row- partner holds- 2-3 sets 6-8 reps
Front Plank- 2 sets of 30-45 seconds

Day 2
1 leg RDL- 2-3 sets of 6-8 reps ea
V-push ups- (Butt up in the air)- 2-3 sets 6-8 reps
Forward bent tubing pull (like a pull down)- 2-3 sets of 6-8 reps
Side plank- 2 sets of 20-40 seconds

Obviously there is much more that needs to go into a program to continually gain results but the two workouts above should make it simple to see a strength program can be done anywhere.

To be clear, you will make many modifications to the workout to get results with more or lesser experienced athletes. Plus, over time you will need to change tempo, sets, reps to continually gain results.

Have it and let me know what you think…
